There seems to be a growing trend in the way Americans view the work day falling a day before Independence Day — July 3rd. A recent online poll we conducted here at Eureka Surveys offers a glimpse into the mindset of the American working class, with some astonishing results to consider. Our online survey platform caters to people who wish to make money online and our free paid surveys allow respondents to make money while sharing their insights.
Approaches to July 3rd: An Analysis
Considerably more respondents, approximately 50.6%, indicated 'Yes, I need to go to work like any other day'. This response reflects the sometimes relentless hustle and the idea of 'make money' which seems ingrained in the American worker's psyche. Being involved in paid surveys ourselves, we at Eureka Surveys find this kind of dedication to hard work admirable.
The Freedom to Take Time Off
A significant number of respondents indicated that they intended to take a vacation day. Almost 14.7% chose 'Yes, but I plan to take a vacation day', portraying a shifting work culture where workers value their leisure time and are not shy to take time off when they feel it's needed. This is an interesting facet of 'how to make money' – by realizing that sometimes not working is equally important.
Declaring Independence from Work on July 3rd - Paid Holiday or Not?
The remaining respondents fell into two categories: 'No, it is a paid holiday!' and 'NA - I don't work'. These responses could serve as an indicator towards more flexible work schedules, work-from-home opportunities, freelancing and other unconventional modes of work tide over traditional 9-5 jobs. The possibility of making money online, be it through digital gig work or paid surveys, has changed the game significantly.
