Tired of getting disqualified from paid surveys? We feel your pain.

At Eureka, providing a smooth and fun user experience is our top priority, so we don't like disqualifications either.

Fortunately, there are some easy things you can do to qualify for more surveys on average:

1. Fill out your profile completed and accurately

Survey sites use the information in your profile to match you with more relevant surveys, so if your profile is lacking information, or the information is inaccurate, you may receive fewer surveys and experience more disqualifications.

It's a bit of a hassle, but try to fill out your profile fully, and be sure to update it over time to keep things accurate.

2. Take surveys as soon as they become available

Surveys can only accept a limited number of responses from each demographic they're targeting, so the sooner you get in, the better chance you have of qualifying. Take too long and you could miss out on the survey completely.

3. Read survey questions carefully

Occasionally, surveys will use trick questions -- also known as attention checks -- to catch survey participants who aren't fully paying attention.

For example, an attention check might ask something like, "What color is the sky?" and then say right after to "Please select the answer 'green' so that we know you're paying attention."

Most attention checks are even sneakier than that, but you get the point. If you were speeding through the survey trying to make a quick buck, you'd most likely not read the entire question and quickly select 'blue' as the color of the sky. That would result in an instant disqualification.

Attention checks can happen at any time -- even right near the end of a survey -- so watch out!

4. Take your time

Speaking of speeding through surveys, that's another thing that could get you disqualified. Most survey software these days will track your speed, and if you're answering questions really quickly, you might be automatically flagged as a bot or as someone who isn't putting thought into their answers.

To prevent this from happening, take your time, and, at the least, let survey questions load fully before you select your answer and move on.

5. Provide honest answers to survey questions

While it may seem like a good idea to lie in order to qualify for more surveys, this strategy will almost always play out the opposite way you expect it to.

The biggest reason why?

It's almost impossible to know the exact answer(s) a survey is looking for. If you try to game the system by lying, you might actually hurt your chances of qualifying.

On top of that, if your answers aren't consistent throughout an entire survey or they contradict information in your survey profile, you'll most likely get disqualified from the survey you're taking and you might even be banned from the survey platform you're using.

6. Provide detailed and helpful answers

Some survey questions require short written responses rather than multiple choice answers. Whenever you come across these types of questions, try to take an extra 30 seconds or so to give a genuinely helpful, 2-3 sentence response.

This will not only help the person conducting the survey get more valuable feedback, it could also get you invited to more surveys in the future.

On the other hand, extremely short or unhelpful responses could do the opposite; they might get you disqualified or even blacklisted from future surveys.

Bonus Tip:Use Survey Sites That Pay For Disqualifications

Knowing how to qualify for surveys more often is helpful, but even if you follow the tips above to a tee, you're bound to get disqualified occasionally.

At Eureka, we pay $0.02 for disqualifications as we fully understand how frustrating they can be. It's not a ton, but it's better than nothing (which is what most survey sites pay for DQs).

We're also working to lower disqualification rates across our platform by working directly with companies and brands who want your feedback.

P.S., paid disqualifications are just one reason why we believe Eureka is the best survey site on the internet.
